Mr. Chris Washington

Mr. Chris Washington holds a Master of Education and Administration degree from Cal State Northridge, and a Bachelors Degree from University of California, Berkeley. educator certifications in Educational Mr. Washington received his Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Dominguez Hills.

As a teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Washington has served the parents and students of the Compton Unified School district, Oakland unified school district, and finally the Los Angeles unified School district. He has taught both special education and general education in grades 1st through 5th grade, before serving as an Instructional Coach.

In his role as APEIS, Mr. Washington has many leadership responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities include coordinating ongoing collaborative planning between special education and general education personnel, facilitating and monitoring the IEP process , and, conferencing with parents and teachers. Mr. Washington believes that all students can learn when the classroom and the school environment support the students’ emotional, social, cultural and educational needs.
